Being human
Past five years there has been a pendulum moment of being human in India with a force of fashion and also humanism followed to it.
The above picture reminds me my college days of being passionate for its fashion approach. Very few know that it is a charitable trust started by Salman Khan and Roshan Sathe. It has many projects for the children from scholarships to free education. Well I’m not speaking about the organization but in reality, what human being is.
Being human is very important in this secular world where it is ruled by religious fanaticism, racism and many other propagandas in defining humanity and judging the people’s right to live. The question of living freely without any fear un answerable in any part of the world. There is no guarantee for the people to live righteous, peace and secured life in this world. The fear of war is increasing in every nation and kingdom, the nations are clutched under the claws of anger, hatred, corruption. The backbone of the society (youth) are mystically drawn towards the drugs, smoking, and drinking habits and are drawn to the valley of immorality. The increment of unemployment leading the youth to work for the evil. The value of life has been worsened. The harmful attacks on the women is increased. The women of the world are treated with dire consequences if they stand against the anything that makes them insecure. The present generation parents are living in fear to secure the life of their children because the present young generation is being carried away by the lustful new habits. The purity of marriage is polluted by the lesbians and gays. The churches finding difficulty to establish the purity of the word of God. What happened to the humanity? What happened to the core human values?
Why the slogans being human and be human is on high rise? Why the present education system and the hard work of various organization of making people aware of the human values are being failed? If these questions are unable to answer…
My Dear friend,
I would like to bring you newly, the old, best and greatest concept… BEING CHRISTIAN. Yes, what you are reading is right. Being Christian is not something new subject. Various people groups understood the meaning of Being Christian in many different ways. But the real meaning was made hidden and muted for the selfishness of the various promoters.
Being Christian doesn’t mean you leave everything that you have and follow Jesus. It does literally mean that being Christian is all about following Jesus by imitating him and live like him. The history says that he is best human being who lived in the world without any blemish. Hence the renowned scholar and theologian Apostle Paul was happy to Choose Jesus as his role model. Hence he asked and convinced people to follow and imitate Jesus Christ. Why did Paul asked the people to follow Jesus to be a better human?
Being Christian
To my understanding being Christian can make you a better human being in this world. Because Christianity has a wide range of teaching to be a better human. The Christ’s teachings mainly consist of the values and principle to be a good human personality.
The same was adopted by Apostle Paul but showing the example of the Jesus Christ who lived as the Best human being in the world. What did Paul understand about Jesus in Living as the best human being
A small study from the epistle to 1 Cor. 10:33-11:1“even as I try to please everyone in every way. "For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved.Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” (NIV)
Before he confirms his stand about becoming like Christ, he claims that he is imitating Christ and asks the readers to imitate him for he felt it is good to be like Christ. Before we go into the study make sure that you are ready to accept that word of God is written only about the good things. Let’s study the Words of Paul.
1.Try to Please others
Paul conforms that he is trying to please others in all the good ways that the others are expecting from him. Jesus tried to satisfy the needs of people. He fed, healed, taught, walked, visited. Human beings are the only ones have the feelings and understanding capacity about the others hence we always please others in whatever the capacities we can but only by good and for good.
2. Seek the Good of Others
Each and every human being should always keep in mind that the opposite being is also a same person like you. Maybe he is only different than you for human made causes and reasons like Dalits, Lower caste (these are human made). Sometimes it may cost you your time, money, life and other aspects but you should never forget to do good to your wife, husband, family, neighbours and ever the foreigners to you. If someone is in need of help make sure that nothing will hinder you to help him at any cost.
3. Try to save others
Make sure that all your efforts help and the example of life may bring someone to Christ so that the individual may become a good human being. Each and every action of yours is being watched, observed by many people. So, my dear friend enable and equip yourself with the thoughts of doing which is best. As the soldier train to fight for the nation for the cause of Good. Likewise, you also train yourself to fight against the evil and do good as Jesus Did for the various people during his earthly life. There are some instances that he was even questioned and prosecuted for doing good by his own men but he never withdrew his character of doing good to others.
Likewise, my dear friend you do have the same character of Christ suffering for others by denying yourself and lead your life in Christ’s way.
Being Human is nothing but Giving up your life as the Jesus Christ suggests for the good cause of Others.
Good Luck
